Casket Lift - View more photos The Liftavator Casket Lift is a result and product of the original Liftavator holeless hydraulic design. Churches needing a safe, practical means to transport caskets between different levels now have the option of adding a fully enclosed deluxe cab with automatic controls.


The Liftavator Casket Lift often performs double duty as a handicap lift, allowing the elderly and disabled access to all levels of a church or funeral parlor.


The same design can also transport gurneys or stretchers in nursing homes and medical buildings, all at a fraction of the cost of a full-sized elevator.


The Liftavator Casket Lift is designed to exceed Part XIV of the ANSI 17.1 elevator code for a commercial freight elevator. Rated capacity is 1800 pounds, based on 24 square feet platform size.



Liftavator (LU/LA)

Operation
Shall be key controlled (upon request) with illuminated car and landing push button, an alarm bell and a push button for each landing. Leveling shall be automatic

Drive Unit
Shall be a self contained hydraulic unit incorporating the following:

  • Heavy duty 11 GA steel gallon reservoir
  • Unitized approved standard elevator control valve with power off manual lowering.
  • Three screw pulsation fee under oil commercial elevator pump with screened inlet
  • Heavy duty 5 HP 220 V, 1 phase motor
  • Low oil level cut out switch
  • Oil tank level and temperature sight gauge
  • Oil tank filler, breather and strainer
  • Two speed valve for smooth operation
  • Rubber isolation pads

Cylinder
Shall be a holeless jack assembly built to ANSI #A17.1, 1983 rules 1302.1A, 1302.1 and 1302.34 incorporating the following: five internal bearings, a bronze head and bearing gland assembly with three pre-adjusted Chevron seals. The cylinder shall have a one inch thick removable steel foot plate, an air bleed port at the top and an oil drain port above the gland assembly

Controller
Shall be hand wired of “relay logic” design; equipped with “plug in” type relays incorporating neon lights and test buttons. Design and operations shall include a field adjustable up time and non-interference timer as standard

Car frame
Shall be fabricated from 9” structural steel channel, incorporating a boxed cylinder lift assembly electric welded for strength

Platform
Shall be a maximum of 24 square feet fabricated of 3” structural steel channel and angle iron, welded for strength and covered with 11 GA steel plate; ˝” underlay board, carpet by others

Cab
Shall be 86” in height completely enclosed for maximum protection. Exterior shall be assembled from 16 GA reinforced steel panels. Interior shall be lined with replaceable ˝” Formica® melamine panels, color chosen from manufacturers standard color list. Roof shall be constructed of 11 GA reinforced welded steel

Lighting
Shall be surface mount, dual element fluorescent

Fixtures
Shall be commercial grade standard elevator construction with a #4 brushed stainless finish (Car operating panel, phone box with phone, hand rail, hall stations and certificate frame)

Guides
Shall be standard machined #8 per foot elevator tee sections bolted to welded structural steel wall brackets

Doors
All hoistway doors shall be 3’ 0” x 6’ 8” EZ Entry Manual swing UL “B” Label

Gate
Shall be manual sliding with UL approved electrical interlock. Power gate upon request

Capacity
Shall be 1800 lbs

Finish
Shall be all steel cleaned and primed with shop coat of industrial rust resistance enamel

Power
Shall be 220 V, 1 phase. Other power upon request

Warranty
Shall be FIVE full years on all materials. Ninety (90) days on labor. Additional warranty available

Braille standard. Other signs available

Options
Power doors available

Travel
Up to 25’ at 30 fpm
